Hi Pete,
Thanks for your response and the document links. I am however struggling to apply this to my requirement.
c1 c2 c3.....c5
n1 a1 x.......x
n1 a2 x.......x
n1 a3 x.......x
n1 a4 x.......x
n1 a5 x.......x
n2 b1 x.......x
n2 b2 x.......x
n2 b3 x.......x
n3 m1 x.......x
n3 m2 x.......x
n3 m3 x.......x
n3 m4 x.......x
So, 5 characteristics (c1 to c5) are in play here. c1 has 3 possible values; c2 possible values are dependent on selected c1 value as shown. That is, if I select c1 = n1, c2 possible values will be a1, a2, a3, a4 and a5. And if c1 = n2, then c2 values will be b1, b2 or b3 while if c1 = n3, then c2 possible values will be m1, m2, m3 or m4
And characteristics c3...c5 allowed any values
Can you please guide me on how variant configuration can be used to actualize this requirement?
Looking forward to your usual helpful response.
