Dear All,
The industry that I work at have a lot of BOM changes due to new design components.
Currently, we are using manual engineer change using CC01.
However, this is very tedious as lot of manual job is needed for phase in dates for discontinued components.
I am trying to find a way where the system will automatically phase to the new components.
Please see example below:
We need to use up all the discontinued components before phasing into the new one.
Sometimes we have multiple components phase in phase out to new components.
Please advise how to set up in system so that it checks the requirement- All component stock must be available, otherwise check the next BOM, if the next BOM parts are not available, then go on to the next BOM.
Ex:
| BOM of FG phase to -> | BOM of FG phase to -> | BOM of FG |
| A1 | A2 | A2 |
| B1 | B2 | B3 |
| C1 | C1 | C1 |
| D1 | D1 | D1 |
Please note I have read many articles about BOM Alternative, Component Alternative, etc. and could not find a solution.
