Thanks for the suggestion ... I tried but still get the same recursion situation. As for your second question below, I am executing it in a function that is called from within the afterUpdate() function. It seems like the BIAL script doesn't get executed until after all of my code runs, and once it does, it starts the cycle over again. I inserted a bunch of breakpoints and can confirm it correctly iterates through all members (but doesn't get the conditional format value) and once it finishes the last line in my afterUpdate() function, it starts again at the beginning!
