I was doing same what you are suggesting but in case of joins it was giving error related to commas. That's why I changed it to current code.
I need your help Clemens. Is there any document regarding Client field in SQL query? I mean officially SAP is saying that we can not pass Client field in query? or in Joins?
It would be really helpful if you can provide me such link to get it documented in our product guide.
