Generally, there are 2 or 3 shifts in a day because in most of the companies, employees work 8 hours cycle or 12 hour cycle and based on that, they are assigned shift allowance.
However, in case there are more than 10 DWS, you can use valid processing types field in T510S to extend your possibilities.
In this case, you will have to write a custom PCR to change the processing type to a custom one and configure this processing type in T510S table. In this case, you can keep the DWS Class of your DWS anything between 1 and 9.
However, this will extend your possibilities to more than 20 characters apart from the processing types already defined and used up by SAP.
However, I really doubt if such a scenario will happen.
We did use custom processing types to generate shift allowances for one of our clients using this method.
