How much data (compressed) do you have and how much RAM available on your HANA server?
I've recently experienced a similar problem (compiseserver cannot start), I was doing a BW DMO from Oracle to HANA, my HANA server has 64 GB RAM, and our data (compressed) is about 80 GB, after I increased the HANA RAM to 80 GB, the problem solved.
