I understood your requirement.
In such a case, you may want to try to create a view variant and use that in the parameters provided while creating the transaction for the maintenance view.
check out the parameter TVIMV-VARIANT. (In the variant, you may want to pre-select the select options/ fields that you want to search) and use them without displaying that choice of field selection to the user.
