Upgrade from SAP 2005 to SAP 9.0

Hi guys we have someone that would like to upgrade from SAP B1 2005 to version 9.0. From what I understand from this site:

I can go from 2005 sp01 to 8.82.

My question is this, does the upgrade wizard for 8.82 do all the required checks to make sure there are no issues, or do I need to check anything else?
