I imported (using admin_ui import) a media file into a Personas 2.0 SP3 system. Also, Basis team subsequently transported the same media file into the system. So, I had duplicate media files in the system. These were duplicates by Name, but had different media-IDs though : When viewed in table /persos/media via SE16N, the display is sorted by media-ID -- and I could see the transported media had the same media-IDs as in the original source system, while the imported ones had a different (higher) media-ID.
I wanted to retain the transported one, and delete the imported one. I used /persos/admin_ui (Media File Maintenance) to delete the imported media file. I select the imported media file name from the f4 help list, clicked on the eye glass icon to see the media details to make sure that the Media-URL field was showing the media-ID of the imported media that I wanted to delete. Then I deleted the media. Then I went back to SE16N to view table /persos/media. I observed that the transported media file had been deleted, while the imported media file was still there -- exactly the opposite of what I wanted.
Is there any known issue with the admin_ui Media Delete functionality ? It seems to have deleted the first media encountered with the specified Name (which in my case would be the transported one which had lower media-ID than the imported ones), even though the media-ID displayed on screen was the imported one. Anyway, I thought I'd mention this here in case anyone has run into this. Thanks !
