In order to check see and verify that the translated texts appear on the site you can do one of the following:
- Change the language of the browser to the translated language (recommended).
- Add to the URL the following query parameter: sap-language=<LANGUAGE> where the value of <LANGUAGE> is the language you have uploaded translation for the locale.

Assuming the URL of your site is http://flpportal-<YOUR_ACCOUNT>.dispatcher.hana.ondemand.com/sites?siteId=<SOME_SITE_ID>, then after the addition it should be:
http://flpportal-<YOUR_ACCOUNT>.dispatcher.hana.ondemand.com/sites?siteId=<SOME_SITE_ID>&sap-language=<LANGUAGE>
